Running a vending business can be tough if you don’t have the right tools to use. Over the years I have tested several different products to help me get the job done with ease. Below are the best, tried and true products I use to run my vending business. If you give any of them a try, let me know in the comments what you think!

Vending Machine Tool Kit Items

Storage Totes

Use these totes to transport your product to each location when you are going to fill. It’s a good idea to have one for drinks and one for snacks for each location. This looks a lot better than showing up with ripped open soda boxes and keeps you from dropping things. You can also put the money inside, adding a level of security.

Utility Cart

This is my favorite cart by far! It can stand a lot of wear and tear and is very easy to maneuver. I use this cart EVERYDAY and I absolutely love it! It folds down to fit flat in your trunk.

Furniture Sliders

Yes! Furniture sliders can work on vending machines! Trust me, these will save your life!! If you need so move your machine slightly for unplugging or sliding to a tight space, these are amazing. I’ve been able to move 750 lb machines by myself with the help of furniture sliders.

Key Ring Tags

These are great if you have different locks on your machines and have multiple keys. You can label each one and the colors also help you to quickly find the keys you’re looking for!

Cleaning Spray

This glass cleaner is great! You can use it on any glass and not have to worry about it getting foggy, since this product is ammonia free. It also has a really nice smell!

Tool Set

Remember to always bring a tool kit with you! You never know what you may need.

Money Bag

I use a separate bag for the money from each location. This way, I can wait until later to count it and accurately record sales. This is especially helpful if you don’t have card readers installed on your vending machines yet.

Signs

These labels are great for helping you identify the contents of each tote. After packing a tote, I place a star card with the name of the location inside. That way, if I mix up the order when I load my vehicle, I can just open the lid and see the name. Simple! These are also useful to tape on your machine to make an announcement like price or product changes.

Bill Counter

Lifesaver!! This machine can do normal bill counts and sort batches of 10, 25, 50, and 100!

Coin Sorter

This is a MUST have for a vending business! Who has all day to sit and sort and wrap coins?! Not me!!!

Storage Shelves

Using storage shelves helps maximize your business space and keeps it organized.

Inventory Boxes

These boxes make it easy to store your inventory on shelves and quickly see what is low which is helpful when creating a list to order more inventory. The size I use is 11″ x 18″ x 12″ (w x l x h). You can fit an entire 50 count box of 1 oz chips inside.
